FELIP Rocks Newly Renovated Ayala Center Cebu

On March 29, 2025, Ayala Center Cebu shared an exciting announcement on their official Facebook page, calling Fstans and Sisiws to mark their calendars for April 11. Just a few days later, it was confirmed that a mall event celebrating Ayala Center Cebu’s renovation would include a Meet and Greet opportunity with FELIP.

The post quickly made waves across social media, building excitement for FELIP’s much-awaited solo stage comeback.

On the day of the event, FELIP shared his excitement on his Facebook page.

A Multi-Genre Whirlwind of Emotions

With his platinum-blonde hair and white leather jacket, the crowd roared as FELIP stepped onto the stage. He opened with his love-track “sloth” from the 7sins album, hyping the audience and encouraging everyone to sing along to the chorus.

After the first song, FELIP greeted the crowd and thanked Ayala Cebu for inviting him to perform at the newly renovated space. As always, he addressed everyone with warmth, Sisiw, Fstans, and A’TIN alike, thanking them for their continued support.

“Gihigugma tamo, gihigugma tamo tanan,” he said with a shy smile. (You are loved. I love you all.)

While happily chatting with the audience, he suddenly sang an a cappella line, “So don’t tell me it’s wrong ’cause it’s not,” prompting the crowd to sing the rest back to him. Pleased, he shouted, “Let’s do it!” and cued the music for the crowd-favorite “Fake Faces.” The space quickly filled with powerful vocals from both FELIP and the audience, creating an unforgettable moment.

The mood quickly shifted as soon as the next track began. Opening with a soulful vocal riff, the crowd was immediately captivated by FELIP’s smooth and satisfying R&B vocals in “greed.” He moved across the stage, pouring emotion into every line and filling the space with his heartfelt delivery. And when he hit a powerful belt mid-song, the audience erupted, letting FELIP know just how much they loved and appreciated the performance.

Soothing with “ache”

The emotional piano intro of “ache” played next, but FELIP quickly asked the DJ to pause so he could have another moment with the audience.

“Before we proceed, I wanted to ask how everyone’s doing. How are you guys? You alright? Have you eaten?” he said, scanning the crowd. “I see some who flew from Manila and other places, thank you all for coming. And of course, my Cebu Sisiws, Cebu Fstans, and Cebu A’TIN, thank you so much.” He continued with a small laugh, “My next song is really vocally demanding, so I’ll need a mic stand. Is that alright?” The crowd cheered in approval. “Let me drink some water quickly too. I got too excited and strained my voice a little with Fake Faces, haha!”

And then it began. FELIP’s soulful vocals filled the entire space as soon as he started singing “ache.” He held onto the mic with intensity, delivering every belt with emotion while the crowd stayed completely immersed. When the bridge came, FELIP sang over the children’s choir recording, and the blend of their voices made the moment even more powerful live. Deeply moved by his performance, the audience erupted in applause when the song concluded.

Capping Off with a Crowd Favorite

FELIP took another moment to speak to the crowd. “Unfortunately, the next song will be my last,” he said,  which instantly drew loud shouts asking for more. “Time flies so fast,” he added with a smile. He reassured everyone that this wasn’t goodbye: “For sure we’ll all meet again soon. We have our SAW (Simula at Wakas) Concert at the Philippine Arena, a two-day concert. See you there, everyone. I’m really excited about it; it’s on May 31 and June 1.” FELIP also teased new music: “Watch out for the release of our next EP. We have a lot of surprises for you all. Personally, I think this is the best EP from my group, SB19, and I’m really proud of it.”

Before ending, he expressed his gratitude: “Thank you to Ayala Center Cebu for having me tonight. Thank you for inviting me after the renovations, this place is beautiful.” He then smiled and wrapped it up: “But yeah, this will be my last song. This one’s in Bisaya.”

FELIP closed his set with his debut single “Palayo,” another clear crowd favorite. Fans immediately sang along to the R&B track, and even though he seemed a bit shy, FELIP still showed off some smooth, sexy dance moves that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Before the bridge, the audience even took over some of the lines, and FELIP happily encouraged them: “Sing louder,” he said, pointing toward the crowd. He wrapped up the song with impressive vocal runs, then exited the stage, sending heart signs to the delighted crowd.
