On May 30, Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati became a confluence of sound, fashion, and self-expression as FELIP brought SULFUR to life in an immersive showcase that felt less like a conventional concert and more like stepping into something distinctly his own: intense, stylish, and unapologetic.
The venue became FELIP’s playground with all the elements feeding into the same larger idea of an artist who was steadily defining the space he wanted to occupy.
And SULFUR was never meant to exist only onstage.
From the music and choreography to the styling, collaborations, fan experiences, merchandise, and familiar faces from the music, fashion, and entertainment scenes, everything complemented something central to the new chapter in FELIP’s solo career: the freedom to explore, experiment, and create on his own terms.
A New Era for FELIP Begins
Known to many as Ken of SB19, FELIP has spent the past several years carving out a distinct identity as a solo artist.
His solo music began with “Palayo” in 2021, followed by the COMPLEX EP in 2023 and the 7sins era in 2024. With SULFUR, however, he pushed further into heavier territory, drawing on his rock and rap influences to create a sound that feels more aggressive, raw, and uncompromising.
Inside the venue, the mood took on the heat and intensity of the song. What started as a track became a full-on expression of FELIP’s darker, more fearless side.
From Song to Experience
If the track gave SULFUR its pulse, the live showcase gave it a physical form.
The whole showcase was a combination of collaborations with other artists and FELIP’s songs from different eras of his solo career. At the center of it all was FELIP, who not only performed the songs, but also built an experience around them, using every movement, visual, and beat to draw the audience deeper, where the heat never really let up.
The Night Beyond the Stage
That immersive quality extended throughout the venue.
During the showcase, fans had the chance to interact with the brands and creative partners, which turned the event into an experience that went on past the main stage.
At the Insta360 booth, fans had the opportunity to interact with the brand’s world of visual storytelling. Fujifilm Prints added a particularly tangible aspect to the event by lending out cameras to the fans so that they could take film photographs of the night and thus contribute to creating physical memories of it.
The Instax Booth provided yet another fun way for the attendees to feel that they were part of that night’s event, highlighting the fact that SULFUR was as much about making memories as it was about watching a performance.
For those looking to make the night a little more permanent, Arté Tattoo & Piercing Studio brought its own form of self-expression into the space.
Sula Spirits also joined the night with its mobile bar booth, adding another place for fans to gather before and after the show.
Beyond the performances, the booths gave fans another way to be part of the night, adding little moments of fun, creativity, and self-expression throughout the venue.
Embers You Could Take Home
The SULFUR experience began even before the performances, with merch becoming part of the anticipation surrounding the night. Fans could take a piece of the night home with them through the official SULFUR merch, courtesy of Backspacer Records.
More than just a souvenir, the merch gave fans another way to carry the look and energy of the SULFUR era beyond the venue. It became a small but tangible reminder of a night built around FELIP.
The Crowd Fuels the Fire
The excitement was already there leading up to the day of the event. Tickets sold out, and additional General Admission slots were opened as demand grew.
Inside the venue, that excitement was impossible to miss. Fans weren’t just there to watch FELIP perform, but also to be part of the experience with him. From the cameras and photo booths to the merch, activations, and performances, every detail gave them something to remember.
Then the lights hit the stage, and all eyes were on FELIP.
The Show Must Go On
Perhaps one of the most striking details surrounding the night came from FELIP himself.
In a post-event interview with VMAN SEA, FELIP revealed that he had been sick for several days leading up to the showcase and that he felt at his worst on the night of SULFUR.
He performed anyway, showing no sign of holding back.
FELIP opened the showcase with “Rocksta,” followed by “Envy,” “Greed,” and “Criminal,” moving through the darker and more intense sides of his catalog. He then took “Sloth” in an unexpected direction, performing it in two versions. He first slowed the song down before transitioning into its original hip-hop, rap, and pop-rock sound.
The first set continued with “FLYYY” and “Pagdali,” both performed with PLAYERTWO, leading to “Gluttony.”
The pace briefly shifted as PLAYERTWO took over the stage to perform their own songs while FELIP changed into his second outfit. It was a short break from the intensity but also gave the showcase room to breathe before he returned.
FELIP came back with “FOES,” followed by “WRATH” and “DRINKSMOKE.” He then brought Illest Morena onto the stage for “LUST,” adding another layer to the night’s collaborative energy.
While FELIP changed into his third outfit, Illest Morena kept the energy going with her own set. When FELIP returned, the mood shifted as he opened his final set with “Palayo,” bringing the showcase back to where his solo journey began.
Then came the moment the entire night had been building toward.
FELIP ended the showcase with the first live performance of “SULFUR,” finally bringing the song that had inspired the entire event into the room. After spending the night moving through different sounds, collaborations, and visual staging, he brought it all to a blazing close, leaving the crowd absolutely floored.
Knowing what was happening behind the scenes made the performance hit differently. Despite feeling his worst that night, FELIP still gave the audience the energy and presence the showcase demanded.
He showed up, pushed through, and gave the night everything he had. It was a simple but powerful reminder of how much he cares about his craft and the fans who were there to experience it with him.
A Night of Familiar Faces
The energy around SULFUR wasn’t limited to the stage. The crowd itself was a mix of familiar faces from music, fashion, and entertainment, adding to the buzz of the night.
Among those spotted at the showcase were Niana, Jarren, Liz Uy, SB19’s Justin and Pablo, showing their support as FELIP stepped into another chapter of his solo career.
That same spirit carried onto the stage. PLAYERTWO, Illest Morena, BRGR, and Drays each brought their own sound and energy to the showcase and the after party, making the night feel like a gathering of artists who were all part of FELIP’s growing creative circle.
For an artist whose solo work has always left room for experimentation and collaboration, SULFUR felt right at home in that kind of crowd.
Black, Bold, FELIP
Music may have been at the heart of SULFUR, but fashion was already woven into its visual language from the very first pubmats and carried through to the end of the event.
The all-black dress code set the tone from the moment the guests and attendees arrived, making everyone part of the visual experience and adding depth and cohesion to the show’s carefully curated aesthetic.
Among the familiar faces were models Andrei King, Yamour, Sunil and Range Guillema, as well as stylists Liz Uy and Lyn Alumno, whose presence further amplified the fashion-forward energy of the evening.
Onstage, FELIP’s styling helped shape the mood of the showcase, with creative director and stylist Maverick Lacson leading the visual direction. Karl King Aguna handled photography, while Mark Familara worked on hair and Mac Igarta on makeup.
Beyond the Fire
If SULFUR is about heat, pressure, and transformation, FELIP made all three feel real that night.
But beyond the spectacle was something more personal: an artist becoming more certain of the sound, style, and story he wants to call his own.
He wasn’t simply introducing SULFUR. He was stepping further into his artistry, embracing the freedom to create on his own terms and letting the music speak for itself.
SULFUR wasn’t just a night forged in fire. It marked another step in FELIP’s evolution as an artist, one shaped by conviction, creative freedom, and a growing sense of self. And if this is what the heat looks like now, he’s only getting started.
